An author visited her local library to read to children.

Ann Barker gave a special story reading at Deepings Library in Market Deeping on Friday last week.

Ann is also the minister at Deeping St James Methodist Church and a former primary school teacher, so is well known around the Deepings.

Site co-ordinator Lea Rickard said the visit was a huge success.

She added: “Ann is a very popular author with our readers. She writes historical romances such as Lady of Lincoln and Theodora in Love.

“She related really well to the children. She had them enthralled with her reading of Burglar Bill.”
