A church fair raised £2,265 to support community projects.

The autumn bazaar at Uppingham Parish Church featured stalls selling preserves, jewellery, cosmetics, bric a brac and cakes. There was also a tombola, raffle, games and refreshments.

Chairman of the social and fundraising committee, Richard Harris, said: “We were surprised and delighted to raise so much when there are many other appeals going on. The money raised will support our work in the community such as concerts and the foodbank.”
