A CHRISTMAS bazaar helped raise about £1,000 for the Conservative Association.
The Stamford and Grantham Conservative Association held the bazaar at its office in North Street, Bourne, on Saturday,
As well as bric-a-brac, stalls selling homemade preserves and books, there was also a travelling souk.
Visitors were also able to enjoy soups and a ploughmans lunch.
Organising secretary Janice Hill said the bazaar, which is an annual fundraising event for the association, was well attended.
She said: “It went very well and there were lots of people there, who I think enjoyed it.
“We had a souk, which was quite different.”
Brian and Brenda Sumner, who are Conservative councillors representing Stamford, tucked into lunch at the event.
