Do you have what it takes to be an on-call firefighter? Stamford Community Fire Station is hosting an open event on Saturday, next week (April 16) from 10am to 2pm for those who are interested in joining.

Come along to Radcliffe Road in Stamford and see if you have what it takes to be an on-call firefighter.

A rewarding role, which provides an essential service to the people of Lincolnshire. On-call firefighters are well respected and appreciated by the local communities for the time and commitment which they give.

Serving firefighters for Stamford, Jacob Smith and David Vines are encouraging anyone who is interested to come down and have a chat. The opportunity is open to men and women, of all ages.

Full training is given, which is all paid and you don’t have to be available 24/7, although a minimum time commitment is required.

There is no height restriction or upper age limit, but applicants must be over 18.
