People are once again being asked to walk 10 kilometres to raise money for a cancer charity.
Walk Ten for Marie Curie Cancer Care will take place at Grimsthorpe Castle on the evening of Saturday August 17.
The charity, which provides nurses to care for terminally ill cancer patients in their own homes, has Grimsthorpe as one of 17 locations throughout the UK for its summer series of twilight walks. The Grimsthorpe walk raised £17,500 last year.
Charlotte Jackson, Marie Curie Cancer Care’s community fundraiser, said: “Walk Ten Lincolnshire is the highlight of my year. It is an evening with a truly spectacular atmosphere for all the family. We hope as many people as possible will sign up.”
After the walk, those taking part are invited to picnic and enjoy an evening of live music and entertainment before a fireworks display at 10pm.
To register before the event costs £10 per person. Children under 16 can walk for free.
