A Christmas fair raised more than £1,600 for church
funds.

The annual fair was held at St Andrew’s Church in Billingborough on Saturday and included stalls selling vintage jewellery, holly wreaths, Christmas decorations and bric-a-brac.

Homemade soup and refreshments were also served to many visitors, who passed through the church.

Clare Fawsitt-Jones, who is chairman of the church fundraising committee, organised the event with Ruth Hood.

She said: “It was a very good event and we were delighted with the amount raised. We were up on last year.

“It is an amazing sum for a small church and it will go towards church funds.”

Clare said without the dozens of volunteers the event could not have been held.
