A CLUB held a coffee morning on Saturday to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee.

Bourne and District Flower Club held the morning at Bourne Abbey Church Hall.

Members of the club’s committee decorated the hall with red, white and blue bunting and all the committee members wore tiaras.

Jackie O’Hare, a member of the committee, gave flower demonstrations during the morning.

Committee member Helen Langman said: “We had several members of the club there but we also had quite a few non-members and it was nice to see they were showing interest.

“As a club, we just thought it would be nice to do something to mark the diamond jubilee.

“It went really well and we were all very pleased.”

The event raised more than £300, which will go towards the club’s funds.
