EXPERTS from Google were in town on Friday to help get Bourne businesses online.

Representatives from Google and the Countryside Alliance met with business people to offer free one-to-one advice and celebrate the town’s achievements as one of the UK’s top Rural Digital Trailblazers, a crown given to towns and villages that have experienced the greatest growth for business online over the last year.

Bourne has been named in the top five of Google’s Rural Digital Trailblazers out of the thousands of towns and villages across the country.

MP for Bourne, Stamford and Grantham, Nick Boles (Con) said: “I am thrilled that Bourne has been awarded as one of the top five fastest growing online business centres in Britain.

“I am proud to represent an area with such an entrepreneurial spirit.”
