A resident at a care home ticked off one of the things on her bucket list when she was taken fishing.

Antonia Stevenson, 84, a resident at Qu’Appelle care home in Harrington Street, Bourne, told her carers that one thing she has always wanted to do is go fishing.

So home manager Natalie White and staff went about making her wish come true.

On July 3, 16 residents and a mixture of 15 staff and volunteers from the care home visited Tallington Lakes to fish the ponds and indulge in a special meal.

Natalie said organising the trip was well worth the effort.

Natalie said: “We are not sure which was the highlight of her day - the fishing or the huge meal devoured after.

“Everyone had a fabulous time.”
