A fundraiser’s annual lunch brought in more than £1,000 for a children’s charity.
Nellie Sanders, 91, of Gladstone Street, Bourne, organises a Sunday lunch every year with a group of friends.
This year 78 people turned up. There were raffles on the day and a grand total of £1,037 was raised.
Mrs Sanders said: “It was enjoyed by everyone.
“James Mitchelson played guitar and he was excellent.
“Many thanks to those who donated prizes for the raffle.
“Many thanks to Ruth Sandalls who donated a hamper which made £150.
“And thank you to all the ladies who helped with the lunch. It was good fun all the way.”
