A RUNNING club has received £200 in sponsorship from a generous factory towards a fun run.

Staff at Bakkavor, in Spalding Road, Bourne, presented a cheque to members of Bourne Town Harriers at its site on Tuesday afternoon.

Club membership secretary Richard Lomas-Brown, of Eastgate, Bourne, is pleased with the sponsorship money towards the Grimsthorpe fun run.

The event is part of the St John Ambulance festival and fun day, which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday.

Mr Lomas-Brown said: “It is very gratefully received.

“We really appreciate their support year in, year out - especially as sponsorship is harder to come by these days.”

Bakkavor has been supporting the club for more than 10 years.

The fun run starts at 10.30am and is followed by the 10k race at 11am.
