Bourne Grammar School has appointed an extended pupil leadership team to serve the school’s expanding student body and community.

Head boy and head girl posts have been awarded to Liam Jones from Casterton and Sarah Fountain from Baston.

They will by supported by deputy heads Alistair Brown from Ryall and Ellie Riley from Baston.

As a result of the school’s expansion two new positions have been created. Assistant heads Jordan McCormack from Stamford and Katie Shales from Morton will organise and run the fortnightly school council.

In addition 10 new school ambassadors have been appointed, responsible for hosting tours of the school by visitors such as prospective pupils and their parents. The appointments are: Josh

Finch, Beth Christen, Nicholas Ford, Stephanie Coundon, Charles Haddow, Charlotte Neal, Charles Legge, Edward Nation, Daniel Wade and James West.

Head boy, Liam Jones, told us , “I am mostly looking forward to the major school events, and being a pivotal part on those days. I think the role is as much about being part of a team as it is about developing leadership skills.”

Deputy head girl Ellie Riley said: “I wanted to be able to give something back to the school that had helped me so much in my academic life.”

Headteacher Jonathan Maddox paid tribute to the outgoing head

pupils, Ewan Jones, Hannah Morton, Drew Castle and Charlotte Davison.

Mr Maddox said: “They did an outstanding job and made a lasting impact on the school.”
