TWO Bourne Grammar School pupils have climbed Mount Snowdon dressed as zebras to raise more than £1,300 for a charitable trip to Tanzania next year.

Kate Hassall, and Abi Rodgerson, both 14, climbed Wales’ tallest mountain on May 27 to raise money for a month-long trip to Tanzania, on the east coast of Africa, in 2013.

On their trip the pupils will be supporting both the local community and African wildlife, building schools and wells, planting trees, removing marine waste and digging water holes, amongst other things.

The climb lasted four hours on the ascent and slightly less on the descent, with great views of the Welsh valleys. To make a donation call Kate on 01778 420261 or Abi on 01778 570307.
