THE 21st birthday of Bourne Inner Wheel Club receiving its charter was celebrated on Thursday last week with a barbecue and entertainment at Kirkby Underwood village hall.

The event was attended by 54 people including members, their partners and members from other clubs who were entertained by a magician and singer.

Club president Diane Ross said: “It went superbly well, everyone left incredibly happy with a big smile on their face.”

She added: “The club is about friendship and fellowship and along the way we raise money for charity.”

This year the Inner Wheel Club has raised nearly £1,200 for the Lincolnshire Autistic Society, raising more than £50 by holding a wind-up snail race on Thursday.
