ST George’s Day was celebrated by the Bourne Town Council with a coffee morning at Wake House.
The event, held in the Windmill Room which was decorated in bunting, raised £105 through donations for the refreshments and the raffle.
Town clerk Nelly Jacobs said: “Is there anything more English than a coffee morning? It was a very suitable way to spend St George’s Day.
“It was nice to see people who we haven’t seen in a while and to be able to sit and chat.”
The council is yet to decide what the money raised will go towards although there is strong support for it going towards the fund for a skatepark in the town.
