A GROUP of quilters have donated their colourful creation to charity.

Members of Burghley Crafty Patchers officially handed over their handmade patchwork quilt to Dementia Support South Lincs at Easton-on-the-Hill village hall on Saturday.

The quilt will now be entered into raffle, with the proceeds to go towards the charity.

The charity aims to support people living with all types of dementia in Stamford, the Deepings and Bourne.

Burghley Crafty Patchers treasurer Pat Lowe was delighted to be able to support the cause.

She said: “It was nice to have an official handover. The volunteers from the charity were over the moon and really appreciated it.

“It’s great to be able to help out the group in a fun way.

“We’re hoping that we will raise between £500 to £1,000 in the raffle.”
