Oundle-based Fairline Boats has introduced a new hard-top version of one of its most successful models.
News of the Squadron 78 Custom follows the launch of the luxury yacht manufacturer’s 100th Squadron 78 model at the London Boat Show earlier this year.
The hard-top version has been designed to give customers even greater flexibility.
The hard-top model recently concluded sea trials at Fairline’s technical centre in Ipswich and the first boat has already been handed over to her new owner.
With the first model unveiled in 2003, all 100 of Fairline’s Squadron 78 models have been designed and built at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Oundle.
Fairline’s most customisable boat, over 10,000 individual customisations have been undertaken across all 100 Squadron 78s.
Kevin Gaskell, chief executive, said: “We’re very excited to be launching a hard-top version.
“It’s a model that has proved to be the most successful in its category.
“We’ve always sought to adapt our range to the needs of customers, with the help of our talented design teams.”
