Business owners have been invited to take part in a packed week of networking events to help start-up, small and medium-sized firms.

South Kesteven District Council’s Enterprise Week begins on Monday and runs until Friday.

Events are taking place across the district, with a number in Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings.

The highlight of the week for many will be at Stoke Rochford Hall on Wednesday. It will incorporate the area finals of the Young Enterprise competition. And the keynote speech will be given by leading Stamford entrepreneur Scott Weavers-Wright, the former chief executive of Kiddicare.

Mr Weavers-Wright revealed plans to bring his new venture Haatch to the former Cummins Social Club in Stamford last year.

He said: “I am enthused by the dynamism in the district. As a result we have now launched Haatch as an investment vehicle for digital, retail and mobile start-ups, based in Stamford.

“The search is now on for talented young start-ups and graduates with big ideas and bags of potential and I look forward to inspiring others at Stoke Rochford.”
