The winners of the Mercury Business Awards 2013 will be revealed on Thursday (23 May).

Scores of businesses entered this year’s awards competition and now the judges are out and about visiting the finalists.

The winners will be revealed at the gala dinner on Thursday at Greetham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre.
The evening is a fantastic night to network so even if you’re not in the competition grab a ticket now.

The black tie event includes a champagne reception followed by a three-course meal before the presentations are made.

Editor Eileen Green said: “We’re really pleased with the quality of entries this year and we can’t wait for the gala dinner.

“The business awards are all about shining a spotlight on success and even in these difficult economic times, local companies are doing
well.

“The Mercury is delighted to be able to highlight their successes and the business awards are the perfect way to do that.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors for making the event possible.”

One winner has already been chosen. Peter Spiegl is this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner after setting up Peter Spiegl and Co, which is now Spiegl Press, nearly 50 years ago. We will be running a feature about him very soon.

The Mercury Business Awards are sponsored by Hegarty LLP Solicitors, Duncan & Toplis, South Kesteven District Council, Greetham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre, Viking Signs and associate sponsor Larkfleet Homes.
