A former event manager has opened a delicatessen in the town where she grew up.
Kelly Combes, 32, moved back to Stamford from Leeds a year-and-a-half ago to be closer to her family.
She traded in her former job to open The Stamford Delicatessen in the former Mousetrap shop in High Street.
The business has been trading since the start of the month, offering a range of delicious foods from the Mediterranean, the middle east and Asia, as well as a selection from producers closer to home.
Kelly said: “It’s gone very well so far.”
The deli has started selling freshly-baked bread on Saturdays and has also joined forces with The Mad Turk restaurant to offer a range of mezze pots.
Loyalty cards are available and gift hampers can be ordered to suit a variety of occasions.
