The new landlords of a pub and brewery hope to continue the good work of their predecessors.
Sean Mitchell and Katie Smith took over Melbourn Brothers in All Saints’ Street, Stamford, earlier this month.
The pub flourished under previous landlords Mark and Delia Brecknock and Sean and Katie are keen for the good times to continue.
Katie, 29, said: “I knew straight away this pub was for us. I felt comfortable here.
“We had a warm welcome by Mark and Dee and we love Stamford anyway.
“We’re quite happy just to keep things going here, work on the food and the fantastic, good quality beer that they have managed to establish.”
Sean and Katie moved to Stamford from Skegness to manage the Sam Smith’s pub and attached brewery.
Sean, 43, said: “We wanted to do a joint management thing as a couple.
“We had a look on the internet and came across Melbourn Brothers. We fell in love with it as soon as we walked in.”
Mark and Delia have taken over a pub in Richmond.
They said: “We would like to extend a big thank you to all clientele who have made Melbourn’s the popular pub it has become.”
