A national takeaway chain’s opening in Stamford is proving popular with food lovers as more than 3,000 pizzas have been served up since its opening just two weeks ago.

Domino’s has opened its doors in the building which was a fusion asian restaurant on the corner of Star Lane and St Paul’s Street.

The move created 36 new jobs and staff have enjoyed welcoming plenty of hungry customers since opening.

Manager David Martin said: “The opening has been great. We launched our Facebook account early to let people know about us and we’ve been taking plenty of orders. It’s been very very good.

“I love Stamford. It’s got lots going on and people seem to love their pizzas. The Mighty Meaty has been the most popular. People in Stamford love their meat.”
