Fire safety firm Sentura to relocate to former factory building in Oakham

A FIRE safety equipment firm could move its head office to Oakham.

Sentura has been granted planning permission by Rutland County Council to change the use of the former Markon Sawafuji building in Lands End Way from general industrial to supply and distribution.

According to the planning application, the firm wants to move its head office from High Wycombe to Oakham and create a distribution centre in the same building.

The office would employ 15 people, with three in the distribution warehouse. The company has not confirmed if any of these jobs would be new.

Operating hours would be 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with both the office and warehouse closed at weekends.

The site has its own car parking space, which the company says will be more than sufficent for its employees.
