A FIRE safety manufacturer wants to turn a factory into a distribution warehouse.

Sentura Group wants has applied to Rutland County Council to change the use of the former Markon Sawafuji factory in Land’s End Way, Oakham.

The firm wants to use the building for supply and distribution.

According to the application, the firm would create 18 jobs by moving into the building.

The warehouse would be open from 7am until 6pm.

The old factory, which was a joint venture between Markon and Cummins Generator Technologies, closed in April.
