A new entertainment store has opened its doors in Stamford.

Town mayor Clem Walden was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open Game Shark in Scotgate on Saturday.

The shop stocks all the latest consoles, including PS4 and Xbox 1, along with all the top games. It also has more than 2,000 new and pre-owned DVDs and Blu-Rays, merchandise and confectionary.

The shop employs some staff from the old Blockbuster store in Irongmonger Street, including manager Craig Siciliano.

Co-owner Chris Howells said: “Game Shark aims to fill a void in the market that we perceive to currently exist and stop people having to travel to Peterborough to fulfil their entertainment needs.”

Chris, pictured above with the mayor and mayoress Pamela Walden, donated a cheque to the mayor’s charities.
