A scheme that provides funding and assistance to get people back into work, in training or education is being run by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
To date the Make a Start Programme has helped more than 200 people with their personal development, getting training, self employment or safety certificates.
The scheme can also assist unemployed people with the direct costs associated with getting a job, including interview suits, equipment, tools, uniform, books, course materials or even a bicycle to get to work.
Grants of up to £250 can be awarded, although the average grant is around £140.
Lincolnshire Community Foundation director Gordon Hunter said the Make a Start Programme: “gets funds straight to the point of need and helps people in quick time, ensuring people fulfil their potential.”
