Jane’s venture to wrap your gifts
Jane Galiliee and her Beetlebag
A mum has got Christmas all wrapped up this year after coming up with a stress-free solution to preparing presents.
Jane Galilee, 51, of Roman Bank, Stamford, has founded Beetlebag, a contemporary present pouch which has self-sealing ends with a gift tag. They are available in three sizes, A3, A4 and A5.
Jane came up with the idea when she was commuting to London everyday as a surveyor and wrapping presents for her sons Max and Eddie became a stressful experience.
She said: “As a regular wrapper of presents, I was often the one with sticky tape in my teeth, making a complete mess of a roll of paper. I am still awful at it.
“I have always felt that there’s a quicker, easier way. When the recession took hold, it actually prompted me to act upon my frustration and create a more compelling concept.
“There has always been wrapping paper and gift bags but I’d never seen anything in between.”
Jane will be selling the pouches at Stamford Christmas Festival on Sunday.
They can also be bought online at www.beetle bag.co.uk.
