Linfords charity effort to raise more than £400 for Help for Heroes

FISH and chip shop customers donated more than £400 to a forces charity.

Linfords in Market Place, Market Deeping, was asked to collect for Help for Heroes by Seafish for the National Fish and Chip Awards 2013.

The shop asked customers to round up any order to the nearest pound and over two weeks more than £400 was donated.

Linfords then rounded that up for a final total of £500.

Owner Paul Linford said: “Our customers have been excellent, they gave us great support.”

Linfords has been nominated alongside the Boundary in High Street, Market Deeping, in the Independent Takeaway of the Year category in this year’s awards.
