Market Deeping-based solar company Lark Energy has helped transform a disused shipping container into a fully functioning office for a Channel 4 television programme
A solar specialist company has its work transforming a disused shipping container into a fully functioning office feature in a new Channel 4 television programme.
Market Deeping-based Lark Energy,a sister company of Larkfleet Homes, has helped transform the shipping container with project leader Reestore.
Lark Energy designed, supplied and installed an off-grid solar system to provide the power required for the office.
The photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the shipping container and connected to a battery storage system generate enough energy to power two computers, a projector and a speaker system.
The conversion project that has transformed the shipping container into a new home office will be featured in a Channel 4 programme called George Clarke’s Small Space Revolution broadcast on November 27.
