AN MP has appointed a social entrepreneur to lead a review examining what can be done to help small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) take on apprentices.
Deepings MP John Hayes (Con) has announced that jeweller Jason Holt will head-up the role, which includes talking to stakeholders about improving the marketing of the apprenticeships programme to SMEs and simplify the process of training apprentices.
Mr Hayes said: “I am delighted Mr Holt has agreed to lead this review.
“I want to ensure that small businesses can enjoy the multitude of benefits that apprentices can offer a company. This review will play a vital role in achieving that aim.”
