A couple hope to bring a retro feel to events and parties with their new catering business.

Ellie Stoneham and Stephen Demagalski, based in Uppingham, wanted to stand out from the crowd with their new venture.

Ellie has always been a fan of the classic Volkswagen camper vans and decided the best way to get her catering firm noticed was to run it from a van and trailer.

She and partner Stephen set up Scrum Dubbly and this summer began building up a customer base.

Ellie, 31, said: “I bought the camper a couple of years ago and it inspired me to do something a bit more exciting and fulfilling with my life.

“The reaction has been really good so far. Because retro is so on trend at the moment everyone loves it.

“It’s something different. It’s not your bog standard white cube catering trailer.”
