BRIDES-to-be browsed a large selection of second hand dresses at a charity sale on Saturday.
Cancer Research UK in Market Place, Oakham, hosted a sale at the Whipper-In with dresses that had been donated to the shop.
Not only were they selling a collection of beautiful dresses in a range of sizes, styles and colours, they stocked all of the accessories too.
Manager Wendy Henderson said: “We had shoes, tiaras and hats and sold about three dresses throughout the day. It is a shame we didn’t sell more.
“People don’t think to come to charity shops for a wedding dress but we have some really beautiful ones.”
The dresses were priced £50 or more with all the proceeds go to the charity.
Wendy added: “We still have lots of dresses in stock.
“All people have to do is come into the shop and ask to see them.”
