Jobs may be lost at Morrisons in Stamford after the supermarket chain revealed it was replacing some office staff with machines.
The firm, which has a store in Uffington Road, is bringing in cash counting machines to do the job of manual cash counters in the back offices at its 490 stores.
The chain has started a four-week consultation with 689 cash office managers and supervisors nationwide.
Morrisons said it will support its staff throughout the consultation process. The firm has not revealed how many jobs are at risk in Stamford.
