Plans have been revealed for a 150ft wind turbine on the outskirts of Dyke.
The planning application by Mr L Hammond from Haconby, which is being dealt with by agents Mosscliff Environmental, is for full permission to erect a 50kW Endurance E-3120 wind turbine on agricultural land off Main Road, Dyke just off the A15.
The hub height of the turbine would be 119ft tall with three 31ft blades taking the total height of the structure to 150ft.
The nearest houses to the proposed wind turbine site are 390 metres away which according to the planning application information is well outside the 144 metre range where noise from the turbine can be heard or shadow from the blades impact.
The turbine would produce about 140MWh each year.
The application, which has been submitted to South Kesteven District Council, will be discussed by Bourne Town Council’s highways and planning committee on Tuesday at 7.30pm on the first floor of the South Kesteven Community Point at Bourne Corn Exchange.
