Savvi Travel in Oakham supports Bermuda

A travel agents in Oakham gave their customers and shoppers in the town a taste of what they could get if they jet away this summer when it held its own Bermuda Day on Saturday.

The staff at Savvi Travel dressed up in traditional Bermudan dress and invited town crier Anthony Church to help draw attention to the their activity.

Savvi Travel owner Dave Batley said: “It was a fun day, people were stopping by and taking photos.

“We are trying to get more people into the town and spending more money.

The activities of Savvi Travel are being carried in the national publication of Bermuda - The Bermuda Gazette.

Mr Bately said: “Hopefully it will bring people from Bermuda to Rutland.”
