A pub in Pointon that was badly damaged by a fire on the first floor of its building, has now re-opened.
The Old Ship Inn Pub in High Street, Pointon, reopened it’s business on Wednesday after a fire on October 13.
More than 40 people helped pub owner, Andy O’Shea clean up after the fire ,that had caused a large amount of damage to the upstairs living accommodation.
Among the helpers were local plumber, Mark Osboure, who fitted a brand new hot water system, Paul Burrel who did all the electrics and Paul Greensland who fixed the roof.
Andy would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped them out, he said: “It was a massive effort by eyerone and we couldn’t havedone it without their help.”
