A PUB will reopen tomorrow after a £100,000 refurbishment.
Businessman Robert Wills confirmed he had bought The Vaults in Market Place, Uppingham, in July and has been working to transform the pub since then.
It has new decor, washed stonework, refurbished restaurant and a new bar.
Mr Wills said: “It was in quite a bad state of repair but it looks really different now.
“I am very enthusiastic about it and I think customers will like it.
“I want to try and get it to how it was 10 years ago.”
He said The Vaults would be a traditional pub serving pub grub.
A preview evening was held on Thursday night to show the work that has been done to invited guests and it will officially open on Wednesday.
In January Mr Wills, who owns Arnold Wills Group in Uppingham, bought The Falcon Hotel in the Market Place and vowed to spend £1m on restoring it.
He said work was progressing well and the hotel is fully booked this weekend because of the Burghley Horse Trials.
Mr Wills also owns Don Paddy’s bistro in Uppingham Market Place and said he remains committed to it.
He said: “I think the Falcon, Don Paddy’s and The Vaults have different things to offer.”
