BUSINESS affected by a fire in Oakham on June 30 are still unable to reopen.
Beans Coffee Stop and Reid Associates were affected after a fire started in the kitchen of neighbouring restaurant L’Oliveto in Church Street in the early hours of the morning, destroying the roof.
Beans owner Phil Gibert says he is not expecting to be open for several weeks.
He added: “There was no real damage to the cafe but they need to put a tin hat and plastic on the roof to make it waterproof before we can reopen.
“It’s out of our hands but people are being very supportive and visiting our shops in Uppingham and Stamford.
Reid Associates has found temporary premises in Market Street and does not expect to reopen for six months.
