YOUNGSTERS got a chance to see the inner workings of a hotel.
Class One from Ketton Primary School visited the William Cecil Hotel in Stamford, where they met members of staff, including sous chef Craig Frith who impressed them his chopping skills.
They also enjoyed a tour of the hotel, as well as visiting Burghley Park via a secret gate for games. The children also heard a history of Burghley House.
The children finished off their day by devising a high tea menu, which will be featured alongside the hotel’s afternoon tea.
Headteacher Amanda Rogers said: “The children spent most of last term building their own hotel in the classroom, so they were delighted to see the real thing first hand.”
