Cake bakers enjoyed a spring fling last Monday.
That was the theme of the April meeting of Stamford Clandestine Cake Club, where home bakers get together to eat cake and enjoy each other’s company.
The club takes place in a different location each month and this month, there were 12 delicious cakes to try at The Crown in Stamford, including lemon poppy seed bundt and ginger and lime layer cake.
Organiser Sophie Douglas said: “Stamford Clandestine Cake Club has now been running for 18 months and keeps surprising me with how popular cake is around Stamford - people are so keen to share their baking hobby with other like-minded strangers, who quickly become friends.”
“I’d urge anyone who loves baking cakes to come along and see what’s so brilliant about our club.”
