Shoppers chose a charity for deaf people to receive a cash from a Stamford supermarket.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People received £675 from thw Waitrose green token scheme.

Shoppers are given a green token and use it to vote for one of three charities each month to receive a donation from the store.

Volunteer fundraiser Judy Sewell said: “We’re very grateful for the support from the people of Stamford who chose this charity.”

The charity will host a collection at Sainsburys in Stamford on October 12 and in High Street, Stamford, on November 23.
