ALMOST 200 guests gathered to celebrate the fifth anniversary of a care group.
The Evergreen Care Trust, based in Stamford, held its annual ball earlier this month at the Haycock Hotel in Wansford.
The ball was attended by representatives of various Stamford organisations including XT, the Kiwanis, the Rotary Club, the Inner Wheel, Hanson Cement, Cummins Generators, churches, the NHS, GPs and councillors.
Pupils from the Stamford Endowed Schools ran the tombola and silent auction.
Gifts were donated by local companies and more than £4,800 was raised on the evening.
Trust founder Louise Marsh said: “In the midst of challenging times, particularly in the health and social care forum, we can be grateful that so much good stuff is happening out there for the benefit of our vulnerable neighbours.”
