A WOMAN hosted a charity car windscreen wash as part of her campaign to be crowned Miss Rutland 2012.

Charlotte Tyers, a merchandise adviser at Sycamore Harley-Davidson in Uppingham, raised £125 with the help of her friend Leanne Robbins on Saturday.

She is through to the final 10 competitors of Miss Rutland 2012 and hopes her fundraising will impress the judges at the final on February 18.

Charlotte, 24, said: “It was a bit cold washing cars in a bikini top but it was worth it to raise so much money for the Ronald McDonald House charity which supports terminally ill children.”

Charlotte will also host a cake sale on February 10.
