A charity that helps people with money worries is celebrating a year of good work.

Christians Against Poverty launched in partnership with St George’s Church in Stamford in October last year.

The charity, which runs from Christ Church in Green Lane, offer financial advice to people living in Stamford, Bourne, Oakham and the Deepings.

Centre manager Simon Jary said the job was a challenge, adding: “We go into people’s homes and see them at their very lowest but then we get to see their hope and dignity restored and that is a great joy.”
