A CHARITY lunch and fashion show raised more than £400.

Belinda Sly, who owns dress agency Sly in St Mary’s Passage, Stamford, organised the event at the Crown Hotel in the town on Wednesday last week.

Belinda holds regular events to raise funds for Action Medical Research, which researches diseases that affect children.

During the event, there was coffee and biscuits, a fashion show displaying clothes from Sly and a two course lunch. There was also an opportunity to buy the clothes, shoes and accessories displayed in the show.

She said: “It was a great success. The Crown Hotel was such a good venue and I think all the ladies there really enjoyed it.

“As well as raising money for a worthwhile charity, it was a good opportunity to raise the profile of the business.”

She thanked the models who took part, her helpers and the Crown Hotel.
