Shoppers defied poor weather to support a Christmas market and town crier competition.
Traders set up stalls in Market Place, Market Deeping, yesterday (Sunday).
A range of festive foods and gifts were on sale and visitors turned out in force despite the damp conditions.
Youngsters took part in a junior town crier competition, which was won by Madeline Girvan.
Entertainment was provided by the Deepings joint schools choir, along with singers from Deeping St James and William Hildyard primary schools and dance groups.
Market Deeping deputy town clerk Dawn Jarvis said: “We have had so much positive feedback from traders.
“We were a bit worried because the weather was shocking in the morning. But the mayor went round and spoke to everyone and they all said it had been a success.
“A lot of people were getting into the Christmas spirit.
“The children got really excited about the town crier competition and put a lot of effort into their cries.”
