YOUNGSTERS will have the chance to find out more about a village church in a new church trail quiz.

Rutland’s first ever National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies’ Church Trial has been assembled at St Peter’s Church in Brooke.

The trail was launched by members of Oakham Decorative and Fine Arts Society on Friday and pupils from Brooke Hill Academy completed the first challenge.

They were also joined by guest of honour High Sheriff of Rutland Bart Hellyer, and by the national society’s trails adviser June Graveson.

June said: “This is the first trial in the county and hopefully the first of many. It’s a great way to introduce children to the church and for them to learn about it.”
