THE sound of engines filled the countryside as a classic car show roared into life.
The annual Maxey Classic Car Show was held in the village on Saturday, with a collection of exotic and historic machinery on show.
Hundreds of people attended to view everything from classic Porsches, Jaguar E-Types and Minis to modern day Subarus, Mitsubishis and Mazdas.
Treasurer of the Maxey Charity Club Gill Chown said: “This is the tenth time we have held the show and is the biggest event in the club’s year.
“Over the past ten years we have raised £48,000 with various events.
“We make sure every penny can go to charity.
