PEOPLE once again flocked to a coffee morning to support a leukaemia charity.
Dr Michael and Margaret McGregor, of Maple Gardens, Bourne, hold the event every year to raise money for the Bourne and Spalding branch of the Leukaemia Research Fund.
They started the event in 1983 after their son John was diagnosed with leukaemia.
After John died in 1985, aged 21, the event become a memorial and the couple have put all their efforts into raising as much money as possible.
Branch vice chairman John Kirkman said: “It has always been our most successful fundraising event of the year and I am in no doubt it will be again.”
