College tea party benefits charity

School librarian pupils hosted a Mad Hatter’s tea party to raise money for blind and partially sighted people.

The event, at Casterton Business and Enterprise College raised £270 which will go towards the Royal National Institute for the Blind to help make books more accessible for blind and partially sighted people.

Pupils also carried out sponsored activities during their half-term holiday.

School librarian Debbie Scott said: “I am so proud of my student librarian team.

“They were inventive and enterprising and encouraged the whole college to join in the fun and support a fantastic charity.”
